Abdul Jabbar Khan

Abdul Jabbar Khan, originally from Hyderabad, Sindh, spent his formative years in Khanot, near the Lakhra Coal Mines, where he was engaged in his family’s coal mining business. His educational journey began at Islamia Public Elementary School in Khanot and continued with his intermediate studies at Alfalah Boys College in Hyderabad.

In 2021, Abdul accomplished a significant milestone by completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree, with a major in painting and graduating with distinction from Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro University of Arts, Design, and Heritage (SABSU), previously known as the Centre of Excellence in Arts and Design (CEAD).

From an early age, Abdul held a deep passion for drawing and creativity. The natural surroundings of Khanot, where he grew up, have been a constant source of inspiration for his artistic endeavors, nurturing his imagination and infusing his work with fresh ideas. His connection to this environment continues to influence his art today.

As an artist, Abdul finds immense joy in exploring new mediums and experimenting with diverse materials and techniques that allow him to express himself uniquely. A pivotal step in his artistic journey was his thesis, where he concentrated on charcoal as his primary medium. This challenge opened up new possibilities for his creative expression and has significantly shaped his distinctive artistic style.
