My work is an exploration of the various meanings of a home, and homeland – and the broken, fragmented, and scattered visuals that make up home as a feeling. For me, the silent reflection brings forth reminiscences of a lost time, both remembered with ache and fondness. The calm that is associated with nostalgia and memory is often evoked when thinking of familiar, and familial objects, andsymbols. In my work, I have resurrected the symbols and images that resonate with me, bringing back the feeling that defines home, and comfort. Amna Suheyl
