As a miniature artist, my work delves into the layered human experience, mirroring the intricate process of miniature painting with the complexities of women’s lives. Each layer captures roles, struggles, and resilience that transcend cultural and linguistic boundaries. The braid is a central motif in my practice, symbolizing love, care, and connection. It embodies a rite of passage, a celebration of heritage, and a quiet act of resistance. Braidscarry stories of protest, pride, and belonging, a silent language, a marker of freedom, and a place of solace. They hold both stigma and strength, mapping the lineage of generations and the bonds that sustain us. Through familiar elements like braids, fruits, and spices, I weave metaphors of endurance and interconnectedness. Myart seeks to ignite conversations about identity, perseverance, and the shared forces that bind humanity, offering a visual narrative that resonates deeply with the human spirit.
