Statement :

This artwork explores the quiet and peaceful moments often observed during visits to sacred shrines. It aims to capture the sense of calm and spiritual connection found in these spaces. I invite the audience to take part in the artwork by reenacting a common practice at shrines: tying a thread onto the lattice (jali) as a symbol of prayer and hope, known as mannat. This simple act represents personal wishes while also showing a shared sense of faith and hope. By joining in, the audience becomes a part of the artwork, turning it into a living expression of human connection, spirituality, and the strength of belief.
