Huma Maqbool, (born 1986) is a visual artist, teacher, and writer currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her Master’s in Philosophy from the University of Karachi, Karachi in 2014. Huma then went on to pursue and complete an M.A. (Hons.) in Visual Arts from the National College of Arts, Lahore in 2018. She has exhibited her artworks locally in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. She has also reviewed art exhibitions for Art Now Pakistan, Online, most notably Beyond the End, 2019 a solo show by Mariam Baniasadi exhibited at Taseer Art Gallery, Lahore, and Spaces between the Histories, 2020 exhibited at Alhamra Art Museum, Lahore. She has also contributed to The News on Sunday, Pakistan when she reviewed Pieces of Enlightenment, 2019 the National College of Arts, Lahore, Fine Arts degree show. Select artworks of hers are housed within the permanent collection of the Ambiance Boutique Art Hotels, twice. She has taught as part of the Institute for Art and Culture, Lahore for two years and is currently, teaching at COMSAT University Islamabad, Lahore.
