Irfan Abdullah, born in 1998 in Lahore, majored in painting at the National College of Arts Lahore and graduated with Distinction in 2022. He works on capturing the experiences of human bodies through the accumulation and manipulation of different materials and cultural ideologies. He explores various mediums to build over lifesize installations and figurative sculptures. He’s more into pouring meaning into everyday objects that otherwise go unnoticed. Irfan has exhibited in many galleries including O Art Space, VM Art Gallery, Pakistan Art Forum, Koel, Full Circle Gallery, Alhamra Art Council, Haam Gallery, Lakeer, Ejaz Art Gallery, Art Chowk, The Colony, Satrang Islamabad، PNCA, and Como Museum. Irfan currently works and resides in Lahore, Pakistan.
My work and my investigation are based on providing the challenge to myself to figure out the experiences of human bodies through the accumulation and manipulation of different materials and cultural ideologies. I’m very interested in pouring meaning into everyday objects that otherwise go unnoticed.
