In Each Other’s Frame brings together the distinct practices of Safwan Subzwari and Adeen Habib, exploring contemporary life through moments of intimacy, celebration, social performance, and contradiction.
Safwan Subzwari draws from everyday Pakistani life, capturing gatherings, domestic spaces, cultural rituals, and small moments of connection. His spontaneous compositions reflect the humor, warmth, and contradictions found within familiar surroundings and shared experiences.
Adeen Habib approaches society through a vibrant visual language, combining contemporary impressionism and pop art to examine social performance, class disparity, high society, overconsumption, and the pressures of appearances.
Together, their works create a dialogue between the personal and the social, revealing different ways of observing people, relationships, and the environments they inhabit. The exhibition invites viewers to look beyond the surface of familiar scenes and discover the stories, tensions, and emotions contained within them.
